American Gangster

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

I've had this track for awhile just been to lazy to upload it. If you don't have this new Jay-Z track yet then you def need to get from under that rock with Cam'ron. But yeah its off his new album American Gangster which he was inspired to make by the upcoming movie American Gangster.

Keyshia Cole's New album

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Keyshia Cole's new Album Just Like You is a solid follow up to her debut album. And well i'm no longer going to be posting up full albums because....well i don't feel like it maybe one day i will start again. For now I'll be doing something called my top 5 (woulda been 4 but i like odd numbers) so i'll post up my top 5 songs from an album and this the perfect album to start my new system!

1. Fallin Out: This is imo(in my opinion so never ask again when you see it) the best track on the entire album and it better be the girls next single.

Download: 03-keyshia_cole-fallin_out.mp3

2. Give Me More: I was def feeling this track too you may recognize the sample from Amerie's debut single. My second favorite track on the album Keyshia's voice fits so well with the beat you'll be taken away everytime the chorus hits.

Download: 04-keyshia_cole-give_me_more.mp3

3. Heaven Sent: This mellow laid back ballad comes in right at the perfect time to calm the album down. This is yet another track displays how great production for this entire album was. Just like Fallin Out this is also a potential single.

4. Losing You: Nothing I can really say about this one. I just like it for some reason it connects I feel it. On top of the track being good overall its nice to hear anthony hamilton because its been awhile I've got to say.

Download: 12-keyshia_cole-losing_you_feat_anthony_hamilton.mp3

5. Was it worth it: To finish off my top five is this track and its a good one. The hardest "how do you feel now" track out right now lol. Give it a listen.

Overall "Just Like Me" is a solid album and it doesn't bore you like so many other R&B albums today. This kind of R&B is becoming more and more rare so we have to keep people like Keyshia Cole in the game because I do like dancing and flashyness(is that a word?) But above all that I enjoy good singing and a good solid album I can sit and listen to. I feel that Keyshia Cole has found a lane where she can create the music for the ladies to cry listening to and the music that can bump in the club and in the car.

whoaaaa this album is two thumbs up!

Interview With Bronx Underground Band Less Than Normal

Enfluencespot: Hey guys!

Less Than Normal: Hey!

Enfluencespot: So first things first...who is Less than normal?

Less Than Normal: We're just four best friends trying to have fun and play music. We take what we do serious but if it wasn’t any fun to play and do what we do then we wouldn't do it. The band members are Frankie, Chris, Angel, and Edgar.

Enfluencespot: That's great. So what do you consider to be music and what other bands have inspired you guys? Who has helped you become the band you are today?

Less Than Normal: Saying what music is has become such a cliché' like saying things like music is a freedom to express ones self and for us I guess we say the same. As much as people say it, it's really true as for influences, we all have completely different influences, Chris loves radio-head and cold play and Edgar really loves as I lay dying and hardcore music so as a band we have a wide range of influences.

Enfluencespot: Where are you guys from? Hometown?

Less Than Normal: New York City, all over N.Y.C.

Enfluencespot: The name less than normal is pretty self-explanatory so I won't ask what it means...but who came up with that name?

Less Than Normal: I (Frankie) came up with the name one night with our former guitarist. It was about 5 years ago and I was like 15. We really needed a name and that one just popped in my head, we were almost called No brakes or the Nobodies.

Enfluencespot: How would you rate yourselves as a band?

Less Than Normal: In terms of?

Enfluencespot: Style, spunk, individuality?

Less Than Normal: We're pretty diverse. If you look at us as a collective, we don't look like your typical scene band or whatever you want to call it. We do what we want, wear what we want, and we don't ever try to follow and guidelines for what a band has to be in terms of looks or style

Enfluencespot: So in other words you guys do not believe in labels.

Less Than Normal: Yeah we believe that people should just be themselves and not follow the rules that a scene or mainstream media puts out there for people

Enfluencespot: Do you guys have any hobbies, If so what are they?

Less Than Normal: As a band we love baseball so whenever we get to play it makes us smile. Other then that music is really the only thing we do besides have fun with our friends and party.

Enfluencespot: How often do you guys perform and where?

Less Than Normal: Ok here’s where the interview gets fun we haven't played much lately for a reason, I’ll explain.

Enfluencespot: Ok sure

Less Than Normal: At the beginning of 2007 we had major plans to play many shows, tour, and release a CD but we lost pretty much everything due to family issues.

Enfluencespot: Oh its...normal to have setbacks

Less Than Normal: We lost our van, our money; pretty much we had nothing after we were gaining a ton of exposure in the scene.

Enfluencespot: Things happen so what do you think it will take to bring the band back to life?

Less Than Normal: Right now we're on the verge of getting back out there in a big way. 1scene in the Bronx helped us big time, they gave us shows in the Bronx where the scene is at an all time high and exposed us. Our last show we got so much love and a little buzz that we were able to get our heads back in this and do what we need to do. We're playing 1scene again October 5th and hope to have merch by then. Then we're playing FLC, which is huge, and we're releasing our debut CD. Its gonna be a serious time for us coming up.

Enfluencespot: So is there anything you would like to say to the readers of The Enfluencespot Entertainment Digest?

Less Than Normal: All I can say is thank you, thank you to all the people who have shown us love, 1scene rocks, and we won't disappoint anyone with our CD release we promise to put everything we have into it and not let anyone down.

Enfluencespot: Thank you.

Less than Normal: No Problem.
